This notice explains what personal information Keep Your Profits collects through this website, why, and what rights you have. If you become a client, your engagement letter and terms of business explain how we handle your information as a client.
Who we are
Keep Your Profits Ltd, trading as KYP Financial & Business Services, is the controller of your information. We are registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI727198. Registered office: Opus House, 137 York Road, Belfast BT15 3GZ.
Contact: Scott Verner, director, on 07999 477078 or keepyourprofits@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you ask for a quote: your name, business name, email address, phone number, and your answers about your business (business type, VAT status, transaction volume, the services you want and the two self-scored knowledge questions).
- To stop spam and abuse: a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and your browser type, stored with your request.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To work out and send your quote, and to contact you about it. We do this because you asked us to, as a step before entering into a contract with you.
- To protect the website from spam and abuse. This is in our legitimate interests.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you agree.
Who we share it with
- Supabase, which stores quote requests for us in a database hosted in London, UK.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this website. Your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Banks: if you ask us to refer you for a business bank account (Revolut, Tide or Monzo), we pass your details to that bank only with your agreement. We receive a referral fee from the bank.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
If you ask for a quote and don't become a client, we delete your request after 12 months. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as your engagement letter says, which includes keeping records for as long as tax and anti-money laundering law require.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. To do any of this, contact Scott using the details above. We will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
